No mention of MP datalink fixes in 1.1.0.7 changelog?

I'll be doing some testing with a group of 5 or 6 tonight, will report back. CAT - sounds like user error may be at fault. Always assume that first, it's a policy that has helped me learn a lot!

This is a product of another issue, ensure your Group ID on the Datalink Network is set to 01.

Thanks for pointing this out....wasn't sure if it was supposed to be fixed in the patch or a later one. Didn't want to post a thread for something that didn't get fixed ;)

Yup, the vast majority of times people come on here self-righteously criticising ED for some "bug" and just make a fool of themselves.

Intelligent discourse can only begin with the honest admission of your own fallibility.

SPI broadcasting worked fine for us at the weekend.

Nate

Tested yesterday and works rather well. However, it's not as accurate as expected. I was broadcasting my SPI from TGP while tracking a tank as point. My partner took my SPI, hooked on it and made SPI from TAD. China fwd long and his TGP pointed a few meters out of the tank. I don't know if this accuracy is according to real life behaviour or something to worry about.

Thanks for the response.

Did you lase the tgt for range?

Yes, engaged laser ranging and didn't get the solid L replacing T. Since laser ranging was broken in 1.1.0.6, I suppose it didn't get solved for 1.1.0.7 but didn't tried thoroughly. Can you confirm my results?

It might be because the refresh rate of broadcasted SPI is quite long (around 5 seconds I think), so if you're broadcasting your SPI while tracking a moving target, it will be hard for your teammate to know which unit you're pointing on

If you broadcast static targets your teammate should have his TGP really close to the target, if not right onto it

Good point, but tanks were static. Simple things first!!
