jireland607 Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Pixel Ruler Please forgive me for recommending freeware on here but I feel that it may help users with HawgTouch. Its a program called PicPick. It is really screen capture software but also includes other tools, one of which is a Pixel Ruler. You can use this to measure actual pixels on your screen. I'm now sizing up the hole in the CDU panel so I can export it from DCSW. I can literally measure it on screen. Then input the values into my monitor profile. Right click on the ruler to access the menu to switch between horizontal and vertical. I've used this for ages on all of my computers with no trouble, only thing I would suggest is to disable "check online for updates". There's a new one at least once a week and that will really cheese you off after a while. Oh, you may have to uncheck a 'toolbar installation' prompt during install (can't get away from them bloody things nowadays:ranting:). Try it, you can always get rid. ______________________________________________________________________________________ AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.4 Ghz | 8GB DDR3 Dual Channel | Ati HD4850 XFX | 22" Samsung TFT & NEC 17" touchscreen

Xxx Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Using the ACC.xml with the CDU, I have discovered an error. On the CDU when you are in the WP page osb L1 and osb R1 are reversed and osb L2 and osb R2 do not function. The osb's in the 3d cockpit work normally? I discovered this whilst assigning a new waypoint. The assignments are correct in the xml code and in other modes it appears to function correctly? Its as though the HT guage is not responding to the cockpit settings? It was disconcerting, since I was attempting to learn how to use the A10c WP nav systems and was using the HT panel! The rest of the panel functions fine but not with the OSB's setting WP etc. My brain is maxed out from the A10c learning curve, so I will defer any more fiddleing for now. tmahring Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 (edited) After multiple requests: Landing Gear Panel added ! MustangSally Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 (edited) Hi all, el newbie here. My heads turning to jelly, so I need a bit of a hand. I have 2 monitors, the primary is my 23" with the secondary being a 19". Both plugged into their own DVI outlets an an ATI 6870 graphics card. What I'd like to do is show the 2 MFCD's at the bottom of the screen and the UFC at top...all on the secondary of course. How should the profile look, do I have to do anything to Catalyst controls (extended desktop etc) and do I have to modify any settings in the sim. Any help would be greatly appreciated as my learning curve includes the DCS A10c, TM HOTAS Warthog and TrackIR.....all new btw! tmahring Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Ok, I managed to implement the Landing Gear save indicators, new version in my main release post. However I did not manage to implement that the handle glows red while the grear is in motion. Any ideas on how to do that ?

However I did not manage to implement that the handle glows red while the grear is in motion. Any ideas on how to do that ? Check the NMSP buttons supplied with HawgTouch (1.5 Features.XML, first tab) These are expanded ClickButton controls that support 4 images. Pressed - Lit Pressed - Unlit Depressed - Lit Depressed - Unlit You'll need to create 4 images representing each state and assign these. Also, since the gear handle is not a button that "returns" to its original state after being pressed, you need to use the <IsToggle> property <IsToggle>true</IsToggle> Finally, use the GEAR_WRN event for the button. If you are having issues let me know I'll help you sort it out

ClearDark Posted April 27, 2011 Author Posted April 27, 2011 thx, works perfectly now. new version in my thread. didn't know there was a toggle option for the buttons. The lack of documentation and guides is slowing down HT for sure. Since I can't code, support and write guides at the same time I compensate by providing full support here on the forums :) Some guides are coming through tho! Thanks to Nu-NRG so expect these soon :)

Now my assembly is one step closer to complete :D Tho I did hit a dead end regarding some key assignments in the game. And a G15 problem :D New version is in the works :D Including: Direct action assignments to in-game clickable switches. No need to define keybindings in game. Updated gauge pack including all oxygen indicators (3 gauges total) Fixed up many gauges: - Added fixed north line to HSI, adjusted circle accuracy - Altimeter now displays altitude correctly. - ADI now has turn needle and Glideslope needle And a few more fixes and control types!

Would i be correct to assume that in either up or down state i define the same letter or am I missing something You have to bind both key commands to the toggle command in the game, however in some of the panels i gave switches which only have a toggle input the same key for both positions.

I need to re-assign all of my keybindings after reinstalling my PC. Any ideas on how long till this release? It will save me a couple of hours at least. If its a couple of weeks a way I'll do it anyway but would be gutted if I finished them and then the update was posted 30 mins later. :) Sorry if it sounds like I'm being a lazy git but I've got a little'un and anyone else who has one knows that time on PC is precious to us dads. I blew last nights flying time re-building my HawgTouch setup. Loving it though. You've made a massive contribution to our flight-sim. thanks. I've seen it mentioned a couple of times but have seen no reply, do you accept paypal donations? I would be more than happy to help reward you for your hard work. ______________________________________________________________________________________ AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.4 Ghz | 8GB DDR3 Dual Channel | Ati HD4850 XFX | 22" Samsung TFT & NEC 17" touchscreen

It will take a couple of days to map all the keybindings in HT code. I would estimate a release within a week or so :) I do accept paypal donations. You can click the donate link in HawgTouch main window. It will take you to paypal :) Again, thanks for all the support and feedback!

szadok Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 ClearDark, excellent work. I have question or request for You :). I'm dreaming to run the client HawgTouch on my mobile with Windows Mobile 5 (6).... Are You planning to do clients compatible with different operating systems (including mobile OS)? Running the CDU panel on the mobile touch screen... it will be nice :)
