Vekkinho Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Hey, I played some FC1.12 last night and noticed I had better or more reallistic general visibility foggy horizon during gameplay than the one I get with FC2 and DCS:BS? Perhaps I've got advanced haze disabled or simply, my GPU ain't strong enough to produce it? I also noticed there's no general visibility slider in Mission Editor - Weather tab and no advanced haze checkbox in Options - graphic settings at all with FC2? Any ideas how to create more reallistic visibility? Have some sceenies for comparison: FC1.12a (made by Lambite): FC2 (me): Perhaps this can be addressed in future FC2 patches as I completely miss general visibility setting today! Distant hills and mountains are a bit too sharp IMHO! Thanks all! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Mustang Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Have you tried editing the "far_clip" parameter in the graphics.cfg?
combatace Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 FC2 misses one more thing the forest texture layer.. It misses a whole layer of textures. To support my models please donate to paypal ID: hp.2084@gmail.com https://www.turbosquid.com/Search/Artists/hero2084?referral=hero2084
Vekkinho Posted April 17, 2011 Author Posted April 17, 2011 Yeah, now that you've mentioned it... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Vekkinho Posted April 24, 2011 Author Posted April 24, 2011 Another Q, no satelite map view option in Mission Editor which is a shame compared to FC1.12. I like it a lot as I could place static objects more accurately with sattelite view... INU FIX point with Helos? What's that for? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
combatace Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 (edited) O and the big co-ordinates problem. Problem with pinpoint strike and it persists with A-10C. Vekkinho Posted April 24, 2011 Author Posted April 24, 2011 Yeah it's pretty messy! Another FC2 patch to address these problems is welcome here! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
aap_flanker Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Here it is one of the answers: You can find mirrors as a checkbox in the options screen. To turn water to low, download Notepad++ (google) and edit C:\......\LOFC2\BlackShark\data\scripts\options.lua (Obviously, adjust path to your own install path) Note that you do not want to use regular windows Notepad for this. It's one of those things that might work but may also break the file. In the file you'll find this section at line 49: ["graphics"] = { ["multiMonitorSetup"] = "1camera", ["color"] = "32", ["heatBlr"] = 1, ["scenes"] = "high", ["water"] = 1, ["fullScreen"] = true, ["visibRange"] = "High", ["aspect"] = 1.6, ["textures"] = 2, ["shadows"] = 2, ["effects"] = 3, ["width"] = 1680, ["lights"] = 2, ["height"] = 1050, ["civTraffic"] = 1, ["resolution"] = "1680x1050", ["haze"] = 1, }, -- end of ["graphics"] I've underscored the water value. 1 is for "low", 2 is for medium. After making this edit, the water field in the GUI options screen will be blank. You must set the desire value here: ["haze"] = 0, (basic) ["haze"] = 1, (advanced) :joystick: Intel i5 11700F + H80 | 4x4GB 3200mhz RAM | AORUS ELITE B560M | Samsung 850 PRO SSD 256gb| KINGSTON SA400 480GB SSD | WD 500GB | Gigabyte GTX 1070 8GB | Antec 1200 PSU | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS and homemade panels and rudder pedals | 24" Samsung T24C550 @60Hz 2ms | Opentrack 3 led clip
