Translators?

Am I correct to assume there is a built in translator in these Forums to automatically translate English to Russian and Russian to English similar to BabelFish.

 

The German from Berlin that taught me to stick weld was born there during WWII. He told me that like in India, the English language is taught there as a second language. So, maybe that is it, instead.

No automatic translations mate! At least as far as I know, because else we could read the russian forums-section too!

I use the Google translate for Chrome addon if I have to read Russian. It auto-converts any page to English. It works well enough to understand what is said.

There is no built in translator.

 

You can read the russian section if you want by using something like google translate. Be warned, it won't be easy :)

If you are using Internet Explorer there is a Google toolbar you can load that includes a translate pull-down menu. I used it to view the German website of "Dragon" when he only posted his missionpacks in German.

I use the same method as Nate - Chrome browser asks if I want it to translate whenever it displays a page that is not in a language I speak.

Maybe that is what is going on.

I use BabelFish addon for Firefox and I am pleased. Handy, using Google or Yahoo translation engine can translate many languages. It is enough for basic understand of sentence.
