ErichVon Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Am I correct to assume there is a built in translator in these Forums to automatically translate English to Russian and Russian to English similar to BabelFish. The German from Berlin that taught me to stick weld was born there during WWII. He told me that like in India, the English language is taught there as a second language. So, maybe that is it, instead. Erich :pilotfly:
Boberro Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Where did you find that translator? O_o Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
Laud Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 No automatic translations mate! At least as far as I know, because else we could read the russian forums-section too! Nate--IRL-- Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 I use the Google translate for Chrome addon if I have to read Russian. It auto-converts any page to English. It works well enough to understand what is said. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
GGTharos Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 There is no built in translator. You can read the russian section if you want by using something like google translate. Be warned, it won't be easy :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Speedbrake Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 If you are using Internet Explorer there is a Google toolbar you can load that includes a translate pull-down menu. I used it to view the German website of "Dragon" when he only posted his missionpacks in German. Oops just noticed GGTharos comment above. Oh well double coverage.
EtherealN Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 I use the same method as Nate - Chrome browser asks if I want it to translate whenever it displays a page that is not in a language I speak. Boberro Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 I use BabelFish addon for Firefox and I am pleased. Handy, using Google or Yahoo translation engine can translate many languages. It is enough for basic understand of sentence. Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make...
