Someone with more knowledge should check in soon, it might be related to the new patch since I've seen flashing buildings and so on with .7. There is probably an easy fix for your problem. Out of interest have you tried different graphic settings for scenes and visibility distance? Might want to flick HDR off if you have it on see if it stops it.

Yeah must be continue testing, if i remember right i have the problem with .6 version too but not sure, it's not bad, it just comes when really close view and flying over target.

I just tested, Target starts flashing and then i zoomed out a little and flashing gone away and textures were normal again.

Actually, I have had this problem before but just never though to mention it. I have seen it for as long as the Betas IIRC.

When you zoom in really close with the WHOT or BHOT (dunno about CCD) the textures on vehicles start flashing (Z Fighting I think its called). If you zoom out a little bit it stops.

It could definitely be a HDR thing. It's similar to the flashing/disappearing of shadows you some time see on ground level.

Specs: GA-Z87X-UD3H, i7-4770k, 16GB, RTX2060, SB AE-5, 750watt Corsair PSU, X52, Track IR4, Win10x64.

I'll test without HDR.

I'm about to head off now but I will give that a try first thing tomorrow, see if it bugs out for me on full zoom. I've never had to zoom the TGP fully before unless it's really far away so I may have the same thing.

Yeah test it fly low and fully zoom with narrow

I think I have always had this problem also, but never reported it because It doesn't quite affect gameplay stuff....and when I am directly over target I shouldnt be starting at my TGP either ;).

Ive always figured it was some sort of LOD or mip-mapping thing.

Yeah, same problem here with 6950. Flickering textures on TGP, buildings and some strange white boxes in urban areas when HDR is enabled. Too many problems with AMD cards for my taste.

Quoting from the .7 patch readme - "If you have flashing video on the Targeting Pod or Maverick displays, disable multiple GPU use in your graphics card control panel."

I had the same issue with a Nvidia card and disabled the multiple thread setting in the Nvidia control panel. This cured the issue completely.

Thanks dude but i don't wanna disable my second GBU, it's not even possible with new ati drivers to disable Catalyst A.I off. I'll live with it.

I honestly don't think it's related to multi-gpu now. It's not the TGP flickering from what I understand but the textures on the vehicle your looking at through the TGP. I just had a test on my computer and I can't seem to replicate it on NARO FOV with full zoom.
