I keep getting the message "Note" flashing on the HUD. Can't find anything in the documentation about it. Anyone know what it means?

Its an indication that you have a notification, i.e to check your EO Timer or an incoming message. Just TMS Left Short to get rid of it.

I'm guessing it ties in with the MSG explaination on pg.353 in the manual.

No mention of HUD prompt though.

Anyway thanks.

btw, "check EO-timer", was does that mean?

Is the EO overheating?

Yes, Mavericks can only operate for 30 mins, after that the seeker performance starts degrading.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

aah, thanks

With me turning on the EO at the ramp and leaving it on through-out the mission is a bad thing i guess

You can also press the ACK button on the lower right corner on both MFCDs.

Yep. Mavericks do heat, however their ability being degraded in the game is not modeled. So, leaving them on in the sim has no bigger consequences than getting the annoying NOTE message as stated above.

This is an amazing sim! 'Nuff said!:pilotfly:

Not sure, but i think this is false. AFAIK the seeker lock ranges decrease.

Hmmm...then, this is new to me. In other threads it was said that nothing would happen if you left the Mavs on for too long. If the seeker ranges decrease, well, another great feature for an already great sim.
