Kraz75 Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 I keep getting the message "Note" flashing on the HUD. Can't find anything in the documentation about it. Anyone know what it means? AMD Phenom II x6 1055T 2.8GHz / GeForce GTX 460 / 8Gb Ram / Windows 7 64 bit / X52 Pro / TrackIR5
S D Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 Its an indication that you have a notification, i.e to check your EO Timer or an incoming message. Just TMS Left Short to get rid of it.
Kraz75 Posted April 25, 2011 Author Posted April 25, 2011 I'm guessing it ties in with the MSG explaination on pg.353 in the manual. No mention of HUD prompt though. Anyway thanks. AMD Phenom II x6 1055T 2.8GHz / GeForce GTX 460 / 8Gb Ram / Windows 7 64 bit / X52 Pro / TrackIR5

Tord Hoppe Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Ah, had the same. Was annoying to "loose" the compass tape, didn´t know how to clear it. Thanks.

Just TMS Left Short to get rid of it. btw, "check EO-timer", was does that mean? Is the EO overheating? sobek Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 btw, "check EO-timer", was does that mean? Is the EO overheating? Yes, Mavericks can only operate for 30 mins, after that the seeker performance starts degrading. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
bmbpdk Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 aah, thanks  With me turning on the EO at the ramp and leaving it on through-out the mission is a bad thing i guess  Inno3d RTX 2070 Twin X2, ASUS STRIX Z270E Gaming, Intel i7 7700K, 32GB Corsair vengeance, Kingston Hyper X FPS Alloy Cherry MX Red, Logitech G102 Prodigy, Track Ir 5, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Combat Rudder pedals, Beyer Dynamic DT770, Acer CB280HK 4K monitor, Win 10 Pro 64bit

You can also press the ACK button on the lower right corner on both MFCDs. aah, thanks  With me turning on the EO at the ramp and leaving it on through-out the mission is a bad thing i guess  Yep. Mavericks do heat, however their ability being degraded in the game is not modeled. So, leaving them on in the sim has no bigger consequences than getting the annoying NOTE message as stated above. This is an amazing sim! 'Nuff said!:pilotfly: YouTube: SloppyDog
sobek Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Yep. Mavericks do heat, however their ability being degraded in the game is not modeled. Not sure, but i think this is false. AFAIK the seeker lock ranges decrease. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
RodBorza Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Not sure, but i think this is false. AFAIK the seeker lock ranges decrease. Hmmm...then, this is new to me. In other threads it was said that nothing would happen if you left the Mavs on for too long. If the seeker ranges decrease, well, another great feature for an already great sim. This is an amazing sim! 'Nuff said!:pilotfly: YouTube: SloppyDog
