obious Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Hey guys, Recently I've been trying to contact ground and/or air traffic control but am having difficulty. Is there any way to do this so that I have clearance to taxi to both the ramp and runway?? I'm guessing you would have to use the '#' button to bring up the radio dialogue but so far I cant see any voice transmissions for ground, only wingman, flight, etc. Also, this might be related, but when I begin to taxi, ground crew say 'Hey, what are you doing?', any reason for this apart from not requesting clearance to taxi? Cibit Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Hi,when you press the # your radio menu does indeed come up. However there are 3 radio's in the A10 and you need to select the VHF AM to contact tower and ground crew. You also need to set the right frequency for the airport of departure. Can I suggest you read the excellent tutorial by Warrior X on radios and how to set them up. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1028737&postcount=1 Alternatively there is an easy radio option in settings. I personally think you will get more out of the sim with correct procedures:thumbup: Happy flying;) And welcome to the forums i5 8600k@5.2Ghz, Asus Prime A Z370, 32Gb DDR4 3000, GTX1080 SC, Oculus Rift CV1, Modded TM Warthog Modded X52 Collective, Jetseat, W10 Pro 64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Adding JTAC Guide //My Vid's//229th AHB
mvsgas Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Have you tried using intercom panel in INT and hot mike (HM) switch push it to talk to maintenance and before taxing setting intercom panel to VHF and HM pulled? Normally ground crew will not scream at me if I do this. For ATC, you need proper frequency. To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience.
