emtguf Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Last night I finally got around to re-setting up my second monitor. I had been playing single for awhile and wanted my mfcds back. When they are active sim runs normal. Switch on TGP sim still runs normal. Turn on Maverick sim turns into a fast slideshow. What is so different about the maverick mfcd page that causes the slideshow over the TGP? It appears the TGP is a more highly detailed picture so not sure why it wouldn't slow things down as well.
winz Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Was both the maverick and TGP looking at the same thing? Or was TGP stabilized on ground and maverick boresighted? The Valley A-10C Version Revanche for FC 3
Pyroflash Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Does this happen only when you are showing the mav and TGP on a second monitor, or have you tried bringing them up on a single monitor? Also, it's not about detailed picture, it is about display resolution. The higher resolution your MFCD's are being displayed at, the more of a hit you are going to take. Try setting your in game MFCD display resolution down to say 512 and see if that fixes it. If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.
atledreier Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 The MFDs are baically a separate viewport, so it takes almost a hit as a second monitor regardless of resolution. All objects the camera sees is rendered separately from the main viewport. Bring up TGP on one MFD and MAV on the other, and the computer renders three viewports. If you run the sim i 3 monitor mode you are rendering five viewports, basically viewing the entire world from five cameras simultaneously.
emtguf Posted April 28, 2011 Author Posted April 28, 2011 I have both mfcds on a second monitor. I was using the right mfcd for the tgp and the mav. When tgp was on the display it was fine. Soon as I switched to the maverick page it was a slideshow. So they werent both on at the same time.
winz Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 But where they looking at the same thing (same place on the ground)? Because looking on the ground takes much less gpu power then looking over the horizont (boresighted) The Valley A-10C Version Revanche for FC 3
