Bushmanni Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 (edited) The raindrops on that iCoD video are just the thing I wouldn't like to have on my virtual windscreen. If you consider car windshield, you can see through it pretty well as long as the rain doesn't form a film of water on it which hinders visibility a lot. Small droplets basically become unnoticeable when you focus on a distant object. After seeing the video I think it would add great deal to the immersion if it could be done in a plausible way that would look realistic but not really affect visibility too much. And it should also vary according to the weather so that there would be more than one intensity of rain possible to occur. And it would also be nice to have visible "rain fog" falling from clouds so that you could see where it rains and how much. edit: I found some clips from cockpits when flying in the rain. It's the kind of effect what it should be but the problem is that also the cockpit should be out of focus for it to look right which isn't possible. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fh5F6wvtOd4 Edited May 16, 2011 by Bushmanni DCS Finland: Suomalainen DCS yhteisö -- Finnish DCS community -------------------------------------------------- SF Squadron

power5 Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Not bad but needs more transitions. Goes straight from drops to streaks and needs a bit of in between. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Aaron i7 2600k@4.4ghz, GTX1060-6gb, 16gb DDR3, T16000m, Track IR5 BS2-A10C-UH1-FC3-M2000-F18C-A4E-F14B-BF109
