I just got mine in the mail and tried to set it up. It just doesn't correlate with my head movements very well and jerks around. T_T please help!

^that is pretty much my set up except I am using the normal clip

I've got the trackclip pro which makes it a bit different, but I use the default DCS-Warthog profile with different action keys setup. I have Yaw, Pitch,Roll,X,Y,Z, and Trueview checked. My speed is setup to 0.8 and smooth at 28. Those two settings are largely user specific.

I use the "smooth" profile for pretty much everything and it seems to work fine. Make sure the camera is aimed right (use the view camera mode) so you have most of your range of movement covered.

lol yeah I think it's self explanatory lol. If you setup a custom profile or want to use the same profile for everything you use the trackir for, you can also check mark the exclusive box, which will make it always use that profile instead of it pulling a different on per game.

i dont get how everyone else's is very smooth and it never jerks around. sometimes when I move around, the screen will jump to the opposite direction. wtf

how are you guys zooming? moving your head closer to the screen or using something else? I find it hard to zoom in and center onto the MFD or the side panels using just the trackir.

I find mine pretty smooth. I tried to optimise it for 'peering' - it is quite sensitive to leaning forward to look at an MFCD. The only time I have problems is if there's bright light behind me, the TIR camera is not angled correctly, or when my wine/beer glass passes between the clip and the camera on the way to/from my mouth ;)

Are the axis moving correctly? Left when you look left etc? If not check that you the clip pro isnt selected. Also go into camera view and check out what your camera is seeing. If you are way off to one side you will need to move your camera to compensate.

I think i remember someone saying the hat clip isnt as accurate as the clip pro. Might be a contributing factor.

Mine was jerky after my PC upgrade....found that it was plugged into a USB3 port. Once I moved it to a USB2 all was well again.

thanks guys! I got it set up to the way I wanted. But oh man it is a PAIN to zoom in onto the side panels. Like I spent 5 minutes trying to move my head around so I could toggle the EAC switch hidden behind the throttle! you guys have any advice for this?
