Rahvin Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Does the Radeon brand even exist for 15 years? ...nope only 11!
Ramstein Posted June 11, 2011 Author Posted June 11, 2011 Does the Radeon brand even exist for 15 years? ...nope only 11! ATI/AMD/Radeon... there have been lots of merges,, there were at one time maybe 20 different video card manufactures.. ASUS Strix Z790-H, i9-13900, WartHog HOTAS and MFG Crosswind G.Skill 64 GB Ram, 2TB SSD EVGA Nvidia RTX 2080-TI (trying to hang on for a bit longer) 55" Sony OLED TV, Oculus VR
Rahvin Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Radeon is just what ATI started calling their cards in 2000. Before that, it was ATI Rage (of which I had an 128 back in the day) and ATI Mach :-)
EtherealN Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 ATI/AMD/Radeon... there have been lots of merges,, there were at one time maybe 20 different video card manufactures.. There's still about 20 video card manufacturers. The difference is GPU manufacturers. ATM there's AMD, Intel, Via, nVidia. I think S3 is still alive as well for some applications?
