Doum76 Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 Program that SA-11 properly, and we'll see what the 'joke' is ... have him activate when you're no more than 8nm away. Alright !! i finaly been able to make it work ! Indeed, shooting at about 8 nm makes them a bit more lethal, tougher... but still after a few try and manage how to modify the basics maneuvers to avoid them, i end up able to avoid all 4 launch.... stil doesn't beat the nasty Tunguska, that one is a nightmare, makes me wanna fly a Cesna over Disney Land instead. :) :pilotfly: Thanks for the tip. GGTharos Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 Now you can 'step up' the SA-11 intelligence and add some extra triggers based on your own altitude ... eg. if you come in below 10000', it might wait until 6nm for example ... between 10000' and 20000', 8-10nm, and above that, 15nm. Sounds all good dude, but don't think i will have the patience to do all those triggers and stuff each time i wanna add a SA-11 to a mission. It took me hell f a time to create a random mission spawning diff. sam site, and i didn,t even manage to make it work, someone on the forum helped me out. :) Doum

Keep in mind that you actually have it very, very easy at present with the SA-11 in particular.......As far as developmental intelligence goes, it's in it's infancy and I'm gonna do my damnedest to attempt to spoon-feed it the finest cuisine and raise a bruiser :D To give you a general indication, herewith a quick overview: A standard SA-11 Battalion should consist of the folowing: 1 - Command Vehicle 2 - TAR (Target Acquisition Radar) 3 - 6 x TELAR (Transport Erector Launcher and Radar vehicles - autonomous) 4 - 3 x TEL (Transport Erector Launcher vehicles) with a BUK Battery consisting of 1 - 2 x TELAR's 2 - 1 x TEL TELAR's have their own Radar and are thus capable of autonomous engagement of targets. Capable of engaging up to three missiles per target tracked, with the addition of Optical tracking and laser rangefinder just to ruin your day. TEL's are used to reload TELAR's as well as being able to engage targets when cued by the Command vehicle, which is capable of co-ordinating up to 6 TEL's at once. At present, the TELAR's need a wee bit of work. Chances are, if done right and Buk Battalion deployed correctly, you are not even going to know what hit you - it's gonna hurt. Sounds interesting :P I guess until then i'll be thinking of to make one's will and stuff. And have a few good ones before to forget the pain after. :drunk: :) Doum Edited August 7, 2011 by Doum76
