Avilator Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Just saw these on AvWeb: Goodyear blimp exploded, 1 fatality: http://www.avweb.com/avwebflash/news/GoodyearBlimpCatchesFirePilotKilled_204808-1.html B-17 "Liberty Bell" crashes and burns all reported to have survived: http://www.avweb.com/avwebflash/news/B17DownAllEscape_204805-1.html I only respond to that little mechanical voice that says "Terrain! Terrain! Pull Up! Pull Up!" Who can say what is impossible, for the dream of yesterday is the hope of today and the reality of tomorrow. -Robert Goddard "A hybrid. Deadman Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 IMHO pointing out the courage of both pilots, and acknowledging there skill in saving the lives of their passengers. May be more appropriate than pointing out the loss of two pieces of equipment. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
