Help with Instant Action Easy Georgia

I cannot seem to complete the final part of the Instant Action Easy Georgia Mission.

 

On my last attempt, I popped the ZSU-23(?) at the back of the column with a Maverick, then on my next run, both GBU-12's missed and both of the GBU-38's missed.

I know how to drop bombs and I can do it in the training mission but in this mission, all my bombs missed their targets. Why?

I was in CCRP mode, the bombs were set to CCRP, target was lined up etc etc but the bombs missed and eventually JTAC dismissed me and sent me home.

 

I have tried this mission so often and fail every time, always at this point.

Last time, JTAC actually used Smoke instead of Lasering the Targets, which was a nice change.

 

Does anyone have any tips on how to complete this mission?

Har to say without a track showing us where you went wrong. Are you setting the SPI to the vehicles themselfs as you bomb, because if you don't you are going to aim for the point on the ground the JTAC gave you.

Guns for targets 1 and 2

Lgb 12 (gbu) bridge

Use rest bombs on stationary tanks at 4

Use wingman engage air defences

Use mavs rockets n guns for column

I do it slightly differently:

 

Targets 1 and 2 (trucks/infantry) - Guns.

Target 3 (bridge) - GBU-38 (JDAM) - I don't like to waste an LGB on the bridge that I will need for a moving target later.

Target 4 (tanks) - Order wingman to engage tanks with Mavericks and ignore the air defenses.

Target 5 (column) - Hit AAA/SAM on first pass with Mavericks. Use remaining Mavericks, GBU-12 (LGB), GBU-38 (only when the column is stopped) on tanks. Use guns and remaining wingman ordnance on BMPs and any remaining tanks.

 

To solve the issues you mentioned, make sure you have a solid point track on your target with the pod, and set that as your SPI. When you use GBU-12s, be sure to lase the target (somewhere around 15 seconds lase time is good) without obstructing the pod's view. Only use GBU-38s on stationary targets.

Now the bombs are hitting their targets but JTAC is giving me an 'Abort, Abort, Abort, you can go home now, thank you message' after my second kill.

 

Do I need to ask permission before every kill?

 

How can I get permission once and fire several Mavericks at different targets without the mission being aborted?

Make sure you call "in" and "contact the smoke" once it's fired and you see it, and the JTAC gives you a "cleared hot" message before engaging.

The jtac should give you an attack heading that you need to conform to also the type of ordinance.

So if I call 'in', 'contact smoke' or 'confirm laser' and am 'cleared hot' and run in on heading from JTAC, can I attack as many tanks in the column as I can in one run or do I need to do a separate run for each tank?

Once cleared hot you continue attack until all are destroyed
