Dr Zaius Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 CCRP mode, Ft spacing set to say 200 (is that really feet or some sort of unit in time?), set ripple single x 4, run in & pickle - CBU employment for some reason doesn't utilise any spacing, instead each weapon is dropped immediately after the next. I'm sure I tried dropping a stack load of mk82 Airs in the same mode to destroy a runway once and it did the same thing (1/3rd of runway was a complete mess!) so I don't think it's the weapon. Sure CCIP spacing works OK but I wanna deploy using CCRP :smartass: System Specs: Intel Core i9-9900K 3.6GHz @ 4.8GHz, Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master, 32 GB G.Skill Trident Z DDR4-3600 RAM, GeForce GTX 4090, Crucial SSD (2TB), TrackIR 5, TM Throttle, VPC WarBRD Stick, TM T-Flight Rudder Pedals, Samsung 49” Odyssey G9
159th_Viper Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 It works fine with a wee test I just ran. If you want, post a track and we can have a look at it for you - maybe missed an OSB press here or there, easily done. In any event, for runway denial or the like I just ran a quick test with 6 MK84's at a spacing of 400ft resulting in a dispersal pattern of roughly 650 metres/2130 ft (355ft per bomb) - Track: Try and increase your Ripple Interval and see if that helps. Alternatively post a track as said. Edit: Herewith engagement with CBU-87's - same resultant spacing: Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Dr Zaius Posted June 25, 2011 Author Posted June 25, 2011 Hmmm...it seems my perception of space & time is out of sync! Needed to use a higher Ft spacing number in order for it to make a discernible difference, thanks for your help! SmokeyTheLung Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 (edited) Try switching the yardstick in your TGP to feet, that helps me quite a bit when determining ripple spacing and HOF for clusters To switch the yardstick to feet, open TGP control page, click the OSB next to metric (it should now read U.S.), and use your zoom commands to space your yardstick properly (remember, it's only the right side of your crosshair!). Also worth noting that your aspect must be correct for a reliable measurement Edited June 25, 2011 by SmokeyTheLung 1 System specifications: Computer, joystick, DCS world, Beer
Conure Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 I thought it wasn't in feet, but was a time internal where 250 = .25 of a second. Is that incorrect? Conure Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 If your IFFCC isn't on then it reverts to the old A-10A method with milliseconds but that's really obvious it'll say something like "250 ms" at the bottom center of the DSMS page. The full systems on method it is in feet. Ah I see, thank you. :) Intel i7 6700k, Asus GTX1070, 16gb DDR4 @ 3200mhz, CH Fighterstick, CH Pro Throttle, CH Pro Rudder Pedals, Samsung Evo 850 SSD @ 500GB * 2, TrackIR 5 and 27" monitor running at 2560 * 1440, Windows 10.
