hollywoody Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Hey guys, How hard would it be to have a mod or ? so your pilot can salute or give a thumbs up from within the cockpit? This would be so cool to be able to look over at your wingman in MP and see him give you the thumbs up. just a thought. cichlidfan Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Hey guys, How hard would it be to have a mod or ? so your pilot can salute or give a thumbs up from within the cockpit? They have hand signals in ROF, and the thumbs up is cool espescially for screens, but then they didn't have radios or much avionics to code either. If someone does it, I vote for a mouth wide open expression for those *WTF* moments. Ells228 Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 There is a Viper mod that salutes I saw in a video today. You need the original 3dMax file to be able to do it, of which you can't do with the stock models.

Hollywood That is a small tweak I would particularly appreciate  The thumb up as well as the other hand signs fighter pilots give when rolling at Red Flag exercises ..would be so cool ;) Situational Awareness: https://sa-sim.com/ | The Air Combat Dojo: https://discord.gg/Rz77eFj
hog_driver111th Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Can we add in the ability to have the head move in the Y axis instead of just looking left and right? I would be great for no comm takeoffs ;) A-10C - FC3 - CA - L-39 - UH1 - P-51 - Hawk - BS2 - F-86 - Gazelle - F-5E - AV8B - F/A-18C i5-4590 - GTX 1060 - Oculus CV1 - TM:Warthog [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic9979_1.gif[/sIGPIC]

I would be great for no comm takeoffs ;) That would be awesome, but no comm take offs are easy to do already, 3 sqn, 74th and others do it already. Yep, and using the speedbrakes is an easy way of knowing if everyone is in position and ready to move on if there are more than 2 per flight. To be fair, this system of work was 'derived' from my time with the 104thPhoenix, for us the whole methodology is known as 'SOP 5'. Come pay us a visit on YouTube - search for HELI SHED
BlackSmoke Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 I love this idea with the hand signals... This is totally something they should add to the games for all the client controlled craft. :) Does anyone know if currently in the game the external view pilot head orients in the same direction as the player is looking in first person?

Yes the pilots head moves, but only left and right. i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED
