EtherealN Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 The A-10 in FC2 is an A-10A. http://lockon.co.uk/flaming_cliffs_2/ The A-10A in FC2 is SFM (Simple Flight Model), not an AFM like the DCS series and Su-25. It also does not have the DCS type of cockpit or systems modeling. OutOnTheOP Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 On a side note, while the -B model would be a cool "what-if", only 2 test models were ever made. Interesting bird, though.
159th_Viper Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 ....Interesting bird, though. You could say that - I'd side with the wrong side of Fugly :D And just when you thought it could not get any worse......the YA10-B :P Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? KTLeth_61 Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 a10 viper nice pic.on the a-10-b is this for training. IF I DIE, I WELL DIE WHITH HONOR OR DIE WELL
104th_Crunch Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Noess!!!!! No more work on a different A-10 variant (if that is a suggestion being implied) A2A ASAP! Of course just my opinion.
OutOnTheOP Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 No, the A-10B was originally conceived as an all-weather, day-and-night capable A-10. Department of Defense decided it really wasn't needed, as the night role was filled by other airframes, and besides that, a significant amount of Soviet front-line ADA at the time wasn't night capable, so the survivability and NOE capabilities of the A-10 weren't needed for night missions. It's not a trainer; all A-10 first flights are solo, after qualifying on other jet trainers (T-38, I imagine). ...and who says "interesting" and "fugly" are incompatible? =P
