RodBorza Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 (edited) Hideout mission - Start to Finish - uncut. A very cool and relatively easy mission where you have to coordinate attacks with a Kiowa Warrior reconassaince helicopter acting as FAC to prepare the way for the insertion of Special Forces in BlackHawks. The SOF will enter the area as soon as you clear the way, will inspect the bunkers for terrorist material, and then will return to base. Eight parts of 15 minutes, because the nice people on You Tube doesn't allow more time for my account. Part 01- Aircraft Start-up and taxiing Part 02 -Take-off and getting to target area Part 03 - Rendez-vous with special forces and start of attack on enemy positions Part 04 - Continuing attack Part 05 - Ending of attack and return to base Part 06 - Return to base and inbound for landing Part 07 - Landing, taxiing and start of shutdown procedure Part 08 - Final of shutdown procedure and mission end. Leave comments on. Hope you all enjoy! P.S.: Constructive criticism is always welcome. The objective is to exchange information and learn everyday on this amazing sim. RodBorza Posted August 24, 2011 Author Posted August 24, 2011 Thanks, RodBorza, for the video walkthrough. I created a guide for the Hideout mission - it can be found here. Hey, glad you liked it. I'm planning to post more mission videos there. It is always good to exchange info by doing that. (right now, i'm learning how to strafe tanks by watching some other guys videos.) And nice walktrough you got there. We need more guides like that. (the fence in radio chatter gets a little bit confusing coordinating action with the Kiowa and the SEAD flight. Your guide helps in clarifying that.) This is an amazing sim! 'Nuff said!:pilotfly: YouTube: SloppyDog
112th_Rossi Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 How do you snap to the radio panel like that?
Bucic Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 How do you snap to the radio panel like that? In all ED sims it's works by holding Numpad 0 and banging all the other numpad number keys like crazy :) F-5E simpit cockpit dimensions and flight controls Kill the Bloom - shader glow mod Poor audio Doppler effect in DCS [bug] Trees - huge performance hit especially up close
RodBorza Posted August 25, 2011 Author Posted August 25, 2011 In all ED sims it's works by holding Numpad 0 and banging all the other numpad number keys like crazy :) It's what Bucic said. Hold Numpad 0 + 1 for Left Console. Plus 3 for right console (CDU and lights). Plus 7 and 9 for left and right MFCD, respectively. This is an amazing sim! 'Nuff said!:pilotfly: YouTube: SloppyDog
kylania Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 It's what Bucic said. Hold Numpad 0 + 1 for Left Console. Plus 3 for right console (CDU and lights). Plus 7 and 9 for left and right MFCD, respectively. The SnapViews in 1.1.0.9 are MFCDs on 4 and 6. 7 and 9 are "look at the pretty clouds" views. You should also remap SnapView toggle from Rctrl-Numpad0 to just Numpad0. That way you can hit 0 on the Numpad to lock into the SnapView mode, then hit 4 or 2 or 6 or 1 or whatever to view what you want. Then hit 0 again to get out of SnapView mode. No holding 0+1 and trying to type other things anymore. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christmas Cheer - A Landing Practice Mission : Beta Paint Schemes : HOTAS Keyboard Map : Bingo Fuel - A DCS A-10C Movie

Evil.Bonsai Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 excellent vid and walkthrough. I've been having issues with the yankee base mission and following some of your procedures here should help me a lot. Thanks for taking the time to put this up.
RodBorza Posted September 8, 2011 Author Posted September 8, 2011 (edited) excellent vid and walkthrough. I've been having issues with the yankee base mission and following some of your procedures here should help me a lot. Thanks for taking the time to put this up. Evil. Bonsai, Glad you enjoyed. I tried to do the same with the Defend Yankee Base Mission but didn't get too far. The problem is because that mission has some bugs. The other A-10 flight will get there a litle bit earlier than you, and then they will engage all the targets they have in range, including the ones that the JTAC will tell you to engage. That mission works well sometimes, and other times it's real boring because JTAC won't tell you to attack anything, OR the target will already be destroyed. Well, I wish you good luck on finishing that. When it works well, it gives you a really good feeling of helping the guys in the ground. P.S.:You may make a search on the mission dedicated forums and see if somebody did some work to make that mission work properly. Edited September 8, 2011 by RodBorza This is an amazing sim!
