I promised myself never skip the essentials this time (BS wasnt that lucky)... Anyways, the instructor starts the mission with autopilot on, and core rpm to 90% value on both engines. Starts explaining the HARS, Eggi, and the STPT, ANCHR, etc.. Then orders to flick the rocker on the UFC to Kopitnari and I follow suit. He then disengages the AP and I'm in control. When the heading caret is centered over WPT Kopitnari, he never talks unless I engage autopilot. (ED, please in the upcoming patch, let the actor finish up by saying at least " I've disengaged autopilot, you have control, when you're aligned with the waypoint, re-engage the autopilot".. I had to figure this one on my own. Next comes setting a SPI on the HUD and designating it. Per instructions, slew the reticle down the HUD (dont know the extent really but if he's talking about ground up ahead, why not clarify??), once satisfied, designate using TMS UP (Foward) Long. Now I tried my HOTAS (Thrustmaster T-Flight X HOTAS), and the keyboard. Nothing... The instructor wont speak again... I tried with the targeting pod, did slew the cursor to an area and locked it. Weird... Any thoughts on the above. And please make it soonest, cuz I want to fly right now and finish Navigation up.... P.S. I dont know how to extract the training mission tracks (the school missions). So be courteous to tell how as well. Thanks in advance and Godspeed!! Nate--IRL-- Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 When Setting the SPI with the TDC on the HUD, the Max range is 13miles, if you go over the 13miles limit, there is a little X on the TDC box indicating that the SPI cannot be set. Because you are so high in this mission you will only be able to set the SPI on the lower half of the HUD (When the X is removed from the TDC indicator) Nate 1 Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
