hsth Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 Searched other threads but didn't see it mentioned before so apologies if I've missed it.. In my opinion it would be better to have the Flight Manual in multiple parts. The main chapters as they are now would be a good starting point. That way you don't have to print all 670+ pages for changes in specific parts. You would have an index specific for that part. A smaller manual would be cheaper to print and easier to use as a reference. If they would also be offered as separate manuals at the DCS online shop it would also be simpler for DCS to decide when to put it on the market.
Eddie Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 That way you don't have to print all 670+ pages for changes in specific parts. ? You don't have to do that now, you just select what pages you want to print in the print menu.
hsth Posted July 24, 2011 Author Posted July 24, 2011 yes, I understand. But you don't have an index specific for that part of the manual. With matching page numbers. I like to print it on A5 paper and put them in small binders. Now I have the same large index for different maps. Page numbers throughout the document can change and the one index will change for one or more of the smaller parts. Having separate manuals would overcome that problem. But, as the thread is called, it's just a wish or idea. :-)
Weasel Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I have also a wish ED for future projects regarding the manual: It would be great if you could release the manuals before the final product will be released. So we can spend time with reading the manual or ordering a printed version. Cheers Weasel

The A-10C manual for example has seen several amendments and additions since the sim was released, let alone before,
