Gonzo01 Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 I was trying a new mission I built last night that had two separate JTAC controllers on different frequencies. Basically, I flew as flight lead in one group and my buddy flew in the second group. The mission seem to work really well. We both took turns contacting our JTAC controllers at different times. I would hold at a specific Waypoint while my friend would get his 9-line brief and complete his task. Then I would do the same after he checked out. The really fun part came when my friend suggested that we flly the same mission again, but this time he wanted to see what would happen if we both tried to contact our respective JTAC controllers at the same time and prosecute the attack. I have to say I did not expect it to work, but to my surprise it worked quite well. The mission was a great sucess. I thought you guys might want to know so you could explore this in your own mission building as well.:)
KKR75 Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 That's great to know, but I never thought this wouldn't work as you described. After all, they're 2 separate entities working on 2 different frequencies. All in all it's the same as a player doing A-A refueling while another does JTACing.
Cibit Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 I think before the latest patch this was erratic at best. TwoLate Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Yes I was the other client with Gonzo doing this test. We both was using our own Jtac at the same time. This was really cool. Thanks ED for giving us this feature. Plus one and Kudos. Flying JTAC and AFAC makes this sim realling shine. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
