A friendly reminder, if you notice before touchdown that your left hyd sys is a goner, you have to immediately think no brakes and switch to the right sys, you did do it right at the end, but you could have come to a full stop easily. :)

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

Hi, intersting video and nice landing. Were those failures random ? If so, it's also a good illustration of Murphy's law : if something has to go wrong, it will for sure, with generally maximum annoyance. Otherwise, there's no issue with the mouse. This is how it looks like since patch 1.1.0.9

Asus P8Z68 Deluxe, Intel Core i7-2600K (3.4 GHz), Corsair Vengeance 2x4096 Mo DDR3 1866 MHz, SSD 120 Go Vertex 2, EVGA GeForce GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0 4Go (04G-P4-2978-KR), TM HOTAS Warthog #03797 (MB replaced), Saitek Combat Pro Rudder, TrackIR 5, TM Cougar MFDs with Lilliput 8" UM 80

The system falures were random but I made sure the engines would fail at some point in the timeline. I was quite lucky they failed within a few seconds of eachother to come across as 'oh no I'm in the s***' :D

Alright, before snoopy charges in and snipes me again :): The accumulators that supply the brakes are usually charged by the left system. If you pull the emergency brake lever, it switches the accumulators over to the right system. So left system failure->emergency brake; right system failure->do nothing (brake wise), brakes will work regardless. This is all spendidly covered in the emergency procedures chapter of the manual. ;)

Got it! Tnx

But what's wrong with the mouse?

I'd usually use a screen recorder for video's but not for this one. The track is fine but when recorded as an AVI the mouse turns to a square.

From the C-1:

EMERGENCY BRAKE SYSTEM.

With the left hydraulic system failed and the right hydraulic system operative, the emergency brake system has the same capabilities as the normal system without anti-skid. In event of a failure of both hydraulic systems, emergency braking power is provided by an accumulator serviced by, but isolated from, the right hydraulic system. In the event of loss of both hydraulic systems, sufficient accumulator fluid pressure is available for a minimum of five full brake applications.

The system is activated by pulling the emergency brake handle, and then actuating the brake pedals. Pulling the handle also actuates a switch which disables the anti-skid system.
