Just to confirm:

Wind direction in Mission Planner is given 'From.'

Wind Direction from ATC on take-off is given 'To.'

Wind Direction as per the CDU Position Page is again given 'From' (as compared to the smoke from the stacks).

Thanks

Just to be clear, in RL when Tower says Wind is 270 @ 6, that means wind is blowing from the East to the West. This is also the case with ATC (and JTAC) in the sim.

In the Mission Editor, as well as wind information in the CDU (as compared with in-game smoke), 270 @ 6 means wind is blowing from West to East.

I think that's correct.

It's 4:30 am so I might be confused, but didn't you get it backwards now? 270 is west, so a 270 from ATC means a Western widn - wind coming from the west. (Same way a 360 is northern wind - wind coming from the north.)

Yes you're right (I think, as it's 5:51 here :)). So above should be:

In RL when Tower says Wind is 270 @ 6, that means wind is blowing from West to East. This is also the case with ATC (and JTAC) in the sim.

In the Mission Editor, as well as wind information in the CDU (as compared with in-game smoke), 270 @ 6 means wind is blowing from East to West.

Well hopefully the ME will get a UI overhaul at some point that will fix this amongst other issues, as well as give us the option of all the data fields being consistently in Imperial.
