LARGE Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 There is going to be an airshow here on the fifth of September, and mig 29 OVT is coming!!
topol-m Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 (edited) I suggest you change the title of this thread, currently it's not helping understand the topic. It's not clear if is about the nature in Bulgaria, its Air Forces, Mig-21 or about post cards. Edited August 24, 2011 by topol-m 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
RvETito Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 I believe the author means that the MiG-21 in Bulgarian Air Force will be phased out at the end of this year. And yes, at the Bulgarian International Air Festival early next month the MiG-21 will be flying, perhaps for the last time in public. "See, to me that's a stupid instrument. It tells what your angle of attack is. If you don't know you shouldn't be flying." - Chuck Yeager, from the back seat of F-15D at age 89. =RvE=
RvETito Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Interesting visitors in 3rd AFB Graff Ignatievo last week - two-ship MiG-29's from "101 ЛАЕ Витезови" from Serbia. They have performed, along with Bulgarian 29's missile launches at the Shabla shootong range at the Black Sea. Except for the two fighters Serbia has participated with various SAM sites, like last year. But this has been the first international trip for the Serbian 29's. Nefron Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Very nice. I currently live in Batajnica, Serbia, so I'm glad I can see those two beauties almost every day.
4c Hajduk Veljko Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Take a look at the patch underneath the flag on officers' right hand. RvETito Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 (edited) Actually, the very same officer guiding the SA-3 missile to it has been participating in this exercise. P.S. Cali Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Saw this patch a few days ago Hajduk, I guess it's famous for downing Migs. From an F-15 squad the 58th from Eglin Air Force Base. Those are some very nice pictures. I never liked the way the F-16, F-18 and Mig-29 looked as a 2-seater. i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED
nscode Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Really? Becouse most people find 29UB even more sexy than 29. And 29... man, I post them on Facebook, and people.. girls even, who are not into planes or anything just leave comments like "pure sex". Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
Cali Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 I guess I'm just different, I find the single seat way better looking. i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED

It looks like a retarded dolphin. :music_whistling: Definitely a fan of the Viper and Hornet family models. I think the Mirage 2000 actually looks better with two seats... not many jets I'd say that for.
elchacal Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 WOW.. Excelent pics! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
RvETito Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 The OVT is ... well yeah, no comment. Trully amazing! But what I was impressed the most was the german Eurofighter flown by a test pilot.
