gigz-on Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 (edited) Really amazing video of this MiG-21's returning to life by just a couple of enthusiasts! :surprise: This aircraft spent last 15-20 years standing outdoors in a godforsaken forest without any care! Look at that snow on the floor and everything. Edited August 24, 2011 by gigz-on 1 My YouTube Channel:

jpm1 Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 all the plane fluids have probably been taken out , did the guys changed few pieces , i believe they did SU-25 missions [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
RvETito Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Bury it under 2m of soil, dig it out after 10 years and it will still run and fly. This is how Russian aircraft are meant to be. 1 "See, to me that's a stupid instrument. It tells what your angle of attack is. If you don't know you shouldn't be flying." - Chuck Yeager, from the back seat of F-15D at age 89. =RvE=

nscode Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Yes, fly. Not fly for years after, but a few flights after flushing all the fluids and replacing batteries - no problem. The electronics might not work, but at a point where you are digging aircraft out of permanent reserve, every and all electronics have been EMPed away anyway. Btw, the first video went private :( Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
gigz-on Posted August 26, 2011 Author Posted August 26, 2011 (edited) Btw, the first video went private :( Don't worry. I've already asked this guy to make it public again. Let's see what he'll answer. Edited August 26, 2011 by gigz-on My YouTube Channel:
