G00dnight Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 tom dont delete the panels in helios just hide them, then if a panel goes tits up you can just unhide the helios panel and check the bindings against the panel ones or whatever.. TomDK Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Okay ... sounds usefull ! I use Capt.Loz profile .. great work ! Question for thom who might be involved in Helios: How to bring my (now) working Fuel-Panel to work ? In Helios under the new 2 joysticks B256A13 all switches work now properly and the RecieverLight knob also (!!). What is the most usefull way to bind them ? Directly with A-10-Device or with the Fuel-Panel from the Helios-Profile ?! Will try tonight to bind them and bring the panel to work. The know should control the cockpit illumination, the poti works fine. Thanks again ! My old, sold, pit: http://bilder.einzelart.de/thumbnails.php?album=74&page=3
Gadroc Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Best to bind them straight to the DCS Interface. The helios profile panel will automatically update via the DCS Interface.
TomDK Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Thanks I have now the Fuel-Panel working expect the poti for the Refuelling Lighning Dial. Any idea how to get it to work ? Looks great so far .... input is now mouse, keyboard, helios touchscreen and my first panel  Its great to fly the A-10 with hardware switches and the touchscreen ... acemark Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Hello Brydling, about the Bug you reported. Is " I 15 " correct or should it be " I 13" . If the board is pluged in with one of the "bad inputs turned on" is the board permently ruined? What is the tactile switch on the board for? TomDK Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Topic: poti ...... I tried it today and setup like in the video. If a game is paused in the A-10 and in HELIOS everything is fine. The movemnet from the poti is 1:1. If I go back in game and use the poti, light starts jittering and knobs are also jittering. I have 10K potis .. maybe is there the problem ? Thanks Tom My old, sold, pit: http://bilder.einzelart.de/thumbnails.php?album=74&page=3

If the board is pluged in with one of the "bad inputs turned on" is the board permently ruined? What is the tactile switch on the board for? Thanks Mark Hi acemark! It should be I13. I have corrected this in the information. The board is not damaged in any way if you have one of the bad inputs turned on while the board is restarted. The only thing that happens is that the bootloader is started and you won't be able to use the board until you pull it out and plug it in again, with these inputs turned off. The tactile switch is for starting the bootloader. If you hold it pressed while plugging in the board, the bootloader is started. This should be the only way of starting the bootloader, but because of the bug the inputs in the 4:th row also starts it. /Niclas Edited April 15, 2012 by brydling Digital-to-Synchro converter for interfacing real aircraft instruments - Thread Check out my High Input Count Joystick Controller for cockpit builders, with support for 248 switches, 2 POV hats and 13 analog axes. acemark Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Hello Brydling thanks for the info. I have made a pannel for bs2. First try had to pump "cycle" toggles to make work in game. Then added more wires so that an on\off toggle in game is an on/on toggle on pannel. This eliminated the need to pump toggle every time I used it. The problem now is that I have to control how fast the toggle moves. Too fast "normal toggle switching" does not register as on/off/on, it is registered as one on. So I need a delay. Can I Use a resistor or a capacitor on each input to do this.I only need about 0.5 sec. delay. Thanks Mark. PS if there is anougther way please tell. Why did you have to wire the switches up as on/on switches? I'm not sure I understand. That shouldn't be necessary. Also, why should an on/on switch register as on/off/on? Or are you talking about another switch in the latter part of the post? /Niclas Digital-to-Synchro converter for interfacing real aircraft instruments - Thread Check out my High Input Count Joystick Controller for cockpit builders, with support for 248 switches, 2 POV hats and 13 analog axes. acemark Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Hello Brydling. Re;switches. I am using DPST on/on toggel switches. When game startes, if "panel switch is off" and game switch is off then; "Panel switch is turned to on" game switch turnes on. This is working. Next; "Panel switch to off" game switch remains on and switches are out of sync. Next; "Panel switch to on" game switch off . I then turn "panel switch off " and both swiches are in sync. So I wired a jumper from 1st on terminal of switch to 2nd on terminal of same toggel. When toggel is moved slowly game switch and panel switch remain in sync. If toggeled normally the game does not reccognise the interuption in the input so game switch does not move and switch becomes out of sync. ITS as if on inputs are registered and off are no Home built X-58FTW,i7 950, 3 x GTX570oc, screens; 3 x 22", 19", 17", 9" :D My pit. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=121598

Now I understand. Doesn't the sim offer separate bindings for "switch X off" and "switch X on"? Do you only have access to a toggle binding? acemark Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Hi Brydling, the sim is BS2. I think there is only one way to assigne switches in sim. So what about a capacitor connected to the input? Will this harm the board? Thanks Mark. Home built X-58FTW,i7 950, 3 x GTX570oc, screens; 3 x 22", 19", 17", 9" :D My pit. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=121598
