Steering Wheels? (not to fly with)

Bit of a Race07/GT Legends/STCC II addict at the moment and have dug out my old and ageing Saitek R440.

 

I wouldn't mind getting something a little nicer, though, with some better feeling pedals.

Seen the Thrusthamster RGT with the clutch pedal and it seems nice but am also wondering what else is out there that might be worth looking at for £100 and less?

Anyone here indulge in driving sims?

 

And wow, this thing looks amazing!

 

Dunno how much it'll be but their other stuff looks lovely, and out of my price range really... Unless someone really could convince me to buy one o the Porsche GT ranges or something?

You can pick up a Logitech G25 for about £110, which is (was, until it's big brother, the G-27, came out) known as one of the best consumer wheels of its time.

 

Lots of nice features including a clutch, maybe that would be a good option for you.

Fanatec is very expensive! You won't get a complete kit for 100 pounds. Not even second hand. As Ragtop stated: get a Logitech G25. It's your best bet. You can also have a look at a (perhaps) secondhand G27.

 

I've had my G25 for... 4.. 5.. years? Still works great apart from a couple of things: the leather ruptured a couple of months ago, and the reverse stopped working, but that could be easily fixed by cleaning out the gear shifter unit.

When it comes out I'm going to purchase the Thrustmaster TH8 RS Shifter unit, as my wheel and pedals still work ok.

Thanks gents. Yeh hopefully gonna try n sort out a G27 so we'll see. The Fanatec stuff is amazing but yeh, far too much.

That gear shift thing looks good, DEagle! You'll have to report back with a review when you get one! I'd be interested in readingwhat you think. That new Thrustmaster T500, I think it's called, looks sweet. Although I can't seem to find out for sure whether it's PC or just PS.
