4c Hajduk Veljko Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 http://www.gametrix.ru/products/8 Is this some kind of a Russian throttle? From what I understand Russian, it looks like it uses some kind of HAL sensor? PeterP Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 (edited) - as I understand it - read some postings some moons ago.. - it is something in between a Chinese (and I really mean "Chinese" - not "bad") replica of the X45 and the CH throttle. and cheap too. - really don't know how sturdy it is- I have no link (but I'm sure it was a link on SimHQ that brought me to another English review about this throttle) But I'm also very sure that I read that they can't sell it on the western market because it brakes some rights of Saitek in the Western hemisphere. So no shipping to Europe... -I read it as I was browsing along to gather info what kind of stand alone throttles are on the market i did this to do some research how I could build my Frankenstein dual-thrust... that all what I know about this. But it has nothing to do wit a "Russian style". Edited October 12, 2011 by PeterP 1

Sokol1_br Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 (edited) Yea, not Russian style, in true is a "space age" X-36/45 style throttle. :) 1 - Someone need a stand alone throttle to Russian market (Warthog & Cia is very expensive there) 2 - Contact Chinese manufacture to make one, and since new molds for injection is expensive (say 15.000U$) the manufacture propose reuse some actual with small modifications. This is common in low cost stick market, you find many similarities with Saitek models. Look the grip of this joystick: http://www.otest.co.uk/test-results/trust-joystick-gm-2550-110027.html Recognize Saitek X-36/45 root? This Gametrix throttle use MaRS (~improved HALL sensor) in throttle axis, and conventional - metal case - potentiometer in the two rotaries. Have a 4 way switch (HAT) and four buttons, and a mode button with 3 positions, that allow more 20 logical buttons. In the Chinese market you can buy a HOTAS that combine a variation of the above joystick and a more cheap version of Gametrix throttle - probable without HALL sensor: Price: 165 yuan ~20/25 U$. Both, stick and throttle show Saitek X-36/45 roots. And already exist before the Gametrix ECS model. Sokol1 Edited October 13, 2011 by Sokol1_br 1
