Hi,

I've been very inspired to finally get something more "pitish" happening from all the amazing project going on here on the forum (thanks!)

So here is my ghetto pit. Made from things laying about and definately a work in progress. I plan to move onto something better over time and this is testing the waters.

Consists of 24"+23" screens. Homemade trackIR using ps3 Eye, car seat, old bookshelf for seat mount, LCD wall mount. Sticks and rudder, Belkin n50.

Ive found the desk is way to wide and needs cutting in half as there is alot of wasted space. Also going to add a buttkicker to compliment the audio system.

Has been a hit with the kids and it really makes playing more immersive and fun. As a bonus it still is very useable for day-to-day FPS and browsing, which was my main concern.

Any suggestions and comments welcome.

Cheers

spike

Looks like a nice rig to play at! I think a lot of people get too wrapped up in building (me definitely!) and forget about simming itself! It looks like you've got the perfect balance of gear and usability there.

Nice, its always fun to build it when you get into it. And then its too late your bitten and start thinking on how to improove. :)

few updates.

Was given a 42" LCD. I bought TMW sticks. Re-arranged the "man cave".

Gotta say its pretty awesome to fly now, during the day I run it with the "buttkicker" for ultimate realism.

Next on the to-do list is re-do the seat and base. The MDF is starting to come apart. Will see if I can "acquire" some 18.. ply, make it larger and make some "fake" panels to stick to the top so it looks real but isn't.

cheers!
