Hi,

is there a rotary or a slider for the zoom view on the TM warthog hotas?

Or you could try using a modifier (Pinky lever) and Mic switch Fwd to zoom in and modifier and Mic switch back to default zoom using the Num Pad keys.

I'm away from the sim at the moment but I think zoom in = Num Pad * and zoom default = Num Pad "Enter". You'll find them under the View settings in Options/Controls not the Axis Commands.

The method MTF noted works pretty well but I prefer this method as I don't have to take my hand off the throttle or stick.

You can use the gray lever on the throttle base labeled "Friction" for that.

Bingo! Same here as this works very well.

Or, although this was not your question, if you have a TrackIR, you can assign the TIR Z axis to the zoom axis in DCS. You will no longer be able to lean forward, but I am fine with this setup.

If you cannot see the TIR device in the settings screen, it is in a column on the right outside of the screen.

I used the Warthog slider for some time, but my hand is too small to conveniently use both the zoom slider and the HOTAS commands.

Thank you, will try the suggested. To leave hotas while zooming, thats what's sounds best.

If you're using freetrack or trackir you can use the the pov button on the joystick, I set it up with foward for slow zoom in and back for slow zoom out and left and right for rudder/nose wheel steer control, very convienent
