Lately I found the joys of online bombing. But I hate to fly the Su-25 under the noses of enemy fighters. So I take the mig or 1 of the SU's.

I load cluster bombs of several types to take on airfield defense SAM's. I have noticed that when I drop them online the bomblets fall in the most unpredictable places. Sometimes they do hit as expected but many times about 3/4 of the times they get incredibly tossed sparcely. Sometimes 3 or 4 bomblets hits one place and then half a mile away another portion hits, and 1 more mile in front another portion hits. Sometimes they hit the ground behaving like straffing rounds in a stright line or in portions describing circling trajectories!!

One time I almost got banned from S77 server because when I droped 2 cluster bombs on SAM's protecting Maykop airfield the bomblets fell all in a straight line way off the mark and actualy hit the bases taxiways dangerously close to parked aircraft.

whats going on with the bomblets? looks like they have a mind of their own, is there a multiplay issue with them?

Are you speaking about KMGU submunitions or about RBK cassetes?

Yes I use a mix of KMGU AO-2.5rt, RBK500AO and RBK250.

Are you telling me that any of these types use bomblets tyed in a long ribbon?

Wich bombs would be the best to use against SAM sites? The most frequent targets I find online are lone missile launch trucks. I find it extremely hard to hit anything with these bombs anyway. What I need is some sort of bombs that kills it by the means of a large lethal radius.

Thanks for you fast reply! icon14.gif

Only KMGU-2 submunitions tyed in long ribbon due to some interval between BKF jettisons from the container.

If you need to engage single SAM site - RBK should be better choise for it.

Lob/Toss the bombs.

Hit cntrl v to select all bombs

approach at 500kph at 2000m

put pipper on SAM, hold trigger

pull back 30deg climb full burner(continue holding trigger)

Watch the line move down the side, when it reaches the bottom push 8(setka mode)

Your bombs will release, turn 45deg and egress, switch to F6 and watch the results. Theres a training track for this somewhere.
