My messy cockpit/where i sit and fly

I never thought about making a cockpit in the sense you guys do it with wood etc. I don't have the spare time to do that nor do i have the skill. It wasn't until my last post got sent to this part of the forums that i considered my set up a cockpit at all.

 

Anyway i know i have loads to do but i am sure you get it. The CDU works well now and is on a touchscreen. Someone asked if the touchscreen is any good and all i can say while it is no where as good as an iphone or an Android etc it is very good and works well.

 

I know the MFD's look a bit out of wack but when i am sitting in the chair everything looks aligned and looks ok.

 

Never happy though now i want to put all this in a shell if that makes sense. I'm lucky enough to have a small room in my house that is mine to do what i like. With my kids running around and breaking anything that is bright and shiny this place is now out of bounds.

I have a similar setup. My chair is pretty much the same as yours. How do you keep your WH in place when flying? I've been going out of my mind trying to get the stick off my desk.

A bit of wood for a shell and Helios for the rest of that empty looking screen, and you're onto a winner!

as odd as it sounds i just sit on the plate.

I've tried that but it is awkward and kind of hurts my bum the way I'm forced to sit. I will give it another go and see if I can get it to work.
