Hey guys,

Been playing DCS a-10 for a fair while now and was wondering if someone here would be kind enough to explain to me how to drop multiple JDAM's in a single run?

I know you have to create new waypoints but don't have any knowledge on how to do this, and once they are created how can I use them?

Any help would be great :)

From memory:

1. Find target with TGP

2. Point lock it

3. TMS Right Short to set markpoint

4. Find next target

5. Point lock again

6. TMS Right Short again

7. Set left dial on CDU to MARK

8. Begin attackrun on markpoint and quickly switch to the next one after bomb is released and drop the second one

9. Satisfaction

Just be advised that multiple JDAM drop against active ground units will not be advisable against the new AI logic that take evasive action when engaged.

You are guaranteed a hit against the first target - the rest however will miss if all units are in the same group (as is normally the case).

In the case of a multiple ground-unit engagement you are better served employing Mavs:

Are multiple mavericks allowed on a single run? paulrkii's Training documents suggest otherwise.

(Not trying to be annoying or anything!): )

I think he means as a general doctrinal limit.

I think they only really allow one because you're supposed to come off target to avoid air defenses and not overfly them.

Of course if you're fast enough, it's not like some Colonel is going to take your wings when you get back in DCS. :)

There's 2 possibility:

- use markpoint, enter them as waypoint in CDU, switch the steerpoint to each markpoint, TMS up, drop the Jdam etc ( for 4 or more Jdam you need fly at a good altitude for get the time to "drop them" )

- use markpoint, don't enter them as waypoint, switch to mark, switch the mark as steerpoint and drop each Jdam on the SPI.

Use the wiki, there's a lot of tutorial about this ( pdf and youtube video )

But as say 159th, now they will try an evade movement... ( it's where the new CBU is a good approach too )

ofc, same method apply there... In general i "mark" each target of a group, before make a run and drop the mav on them.... ( or you just "lock" them on the run locking them with the mav cam )
