Also, Do I have to buy BS1 then upgrade to BS2 or is BS2 a full sim?

Thank's again.

The is a full version for $40 that does not require BS1. Make sure you buy the correct version.

EDIT: Cosidering my skills as a chopper pilot are non-existant, you may want to ignore this but my Warthog does just fine for BS2. Some appear to prefer an FFB stick but none of mine have that feature anyway so I stuck with the one that was already bolted in place.

From what i have read if you have BS1 you buy the upgrade version,if you do not have BS1 then you have to buy the full program.

As far as the wartog controller i have read nothing to say you can not use it,but i would search the forum to find threads with the pro's and con's of that joystick, the search function is your friend in all matters,i seem to remember problems with using A10-c joystick profiles in BS2 but then again do a search.

I fly BS2 with the tm warthog. I find it very good for bs2 and mainly because it is very accurate. For collective you can make very smooth adjustments which helps a lot and is really necessary when flying the chopper.

Also the tm warthog is plug and play with bs2 (though not everything is mapped, you can add yourself)

I don't remember the keys but it is like DCS A-10 in terms of mapping it to the pedals.

Does that question mean you do not have pedals? Because without pedals it will be hard to fly. Rudder is seperate control for the yaw axis just as in aircraft like A-10 so not tied in with bank control. But in A-10 you hardly ever use it, in the chopper you use it a lot.

Correct, No pedals at this time....

Ahhh, I see. Yes, this is a lot different than the A-10. Aside from take-off and landing you can almost do without in the A-10 but in the Shark doing with only the keyboard is not going to be pretty.

You kind of need a third hand.

Well, when I first bought BS, I didn't have pedals either. But that changed after about two days.

Maybe there are people around though that fly BS without pedals that could comment because my crap flying at that time was also related to the fact that I didn't understand the trim system yet.

I also use the TM Warthog, although I haven't had much chance to fly, from what I have experienced, the TMW is suited for BS2 no problem. I use rudder pedals, so haven't mapped rudder to joystick. I would strongly recommend you invest in rudder pedals yourself, once you've flown without them, you'll never go back.
