Can we get an official response on the add-ons. We expected. I know “expected” is not official or “clear” response that when we purchase a DCS products that all going forward “patches” will be available for free? No? However many past threads indicate to this, however I admit you never made it clear, all assumptions. I paid for a simulator & I want more play, true with the added eye candy, but then again. My intention in buying these add-ons was to basically expect that patches for the product I purchased will be added. I already pre-paid for DCS10 and BS when It initially came out. Now to be kept in the loop I have to pay more for an existing game? with the same old missions as single player… This gendra is small. My question is how ED expect to go forward on this endeavors when your trustfully customer feels cheated with this. I’ve been paying for all your release, however now. Tell me ED Why I should I continue…

PS: I'm french so my grammar sucks...

Edit: Alarm alarm, Mods GET INTO YOUR STATION…

Not realy to be honest. I’m just your average Joe that feels cheated. And this Joe supported you all the way until now.

Nope not at all, you don't pay anything for an existing game. And addon is not free however - it ADDs ON content. That is what you pay for.

I think you answered your own question...

The customer base is small. Do you know how much militaries have to pay for software such as we get for $40 or $60? Whether or not ED went about the right way in announcing that the compatibility patches would not be free is debatable. Maybe ED didn't know that most of the community thought the patches would be free. Maybe they calculated they would catch less "flak" by springing it as a surprise. Who knows. But unless you have some evidence that ED didn't need this money just to keep operating and giving us their products, and that they are using this money for like office parties or something, then you can't complain about the price you have to pay. ED has to survive. And even if they are doing just fine with their military contracts, the commercial side stll has to be profitable enough to justify continuing with it.
