dean230276 Posted December 15, 2011 Author Posted December 15, 2011 Just a quick question, does the TIR 5 work ok with just one monitor? sobek Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Just a quick question, does the TIR 5 work ok with just one monitor? Yes. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!

Kaitsu Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Just a quick question, does the TIR 5 work ok with just one monitor? I wonder what makes you think TIR would need more than one monitor?.. If you have enough monitors surrounding you won't need TIR at all though. :)
Xxx Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Hi Dean, You just enrolled to the best flight sim ever ( well...Black Shark excepted;) ) The guys on here are serious combat simmers! Most questions will be answered quickly. I run TIR5 with a 27" Dell Ultrasharp...spot on for me. Just wondering why you opted for SLI? You can, of course go for multi monitors with that......:music_whistling: But thats covered elsewhere. Cheers. dean230276 Posted December 15, 2011 Author Posted December 15, 2011 Hi Accipiter, The system is one i configured on PC specialist website. Never really had a fast system before, a friend of mine told me to get 2 graphics cards so i just did. I thought if im going to be apart of the most talked about flight sim at my work, then why not have a system that will do that. Thanks Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit Intel® Core™i7-2700k Quad Core ASUS® P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 16GB KINGSTON HYPER-X GENESIS DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz 2 X 1GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 560 Ti in SLI 120GB INTEL® 320 SERIES SSD 1TB SEAGATE Barracuda SATA 6Gb/s HDD IIYAMA E2773HDS 27" LED WIDESCREEN Hotas Warthog Joystick Throttle
kylania Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 SLI sounds great, but there's very few games that actually work with it. Most of the ones I play have pretty big issues with it, if it works at all. Thankfully it's easy enough to turn off though. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christmas Cheer - A Landing Practice Mission : Beta Paint Schemes : HOTAS Keyboard Map : Bingo Fuel - A DCS A-10C Movie

Xxx Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Dean, try the SLI and see? For me, I would go with one 560. Thats a nice fast card. I'd only run two if going Multi Monitor, in Nvidia Surround. Two GPU's will not run anything faster (IMHO) and you will still only have 1 GB mem. 1+1=1GB:) But try it out and see! Don't forget Black Shark.....She's a beaut! ( If you run FSX forget SLI:D, I dont run any other sims, by the time you become current on both BS and A10..... it takes me all my time to remember each machine!! ) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]i7 Haswell @ 4.6Ghz, Z97p, GTX1080, 32GB DDR3, x3SSD, Win7/64, professional. 32" BenQ, TIR 5, Saitek x55 HOTAS.
