Hi,

I have purchased and installed some time ago the A-10C beta version.

How can I update everything and go to the last version ?

TIA

You can't update the beta to the latest version, just redownload the whole thing.

Thanks I will redownload the whole thing.

Can I then just reinstall over the beta ?

Or do I have first to uninstall and reinstall ? - if yes what about my licence infos ?

Thanks in advance

Uninstall anything you have on your computer including the Saved games folder and then install 1.1.1.1. I don't think it will take an activation to be honest. (With A-10's system though when you run out you'll get a new activation so don't worry). Back up missions or controller profiles if you want though they probably won't work after such a long gap.

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

Forgive me for derailing this thread but I finally am able to download ALL thing DCS related from the link provided by vCUJOv. I don't have internet at home, and ED main site is blocked here at work, but from that link I was able to worm my way to other download pages and get patches, russian soldiers hotfix, etc. lol Thank you, man!

ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

Hi,

De-installed beta, defragmented and re-installed 1.1.1.1

When starting the game (instant mission, training,...) it reports "loading the database", "loading ground objects" and quits !

Beta was running fine

Any idea ?

running Win7 32 bits, GX280

other sims are running fine too (LockOn, FSX, TakeOn)

Hi xfred12,

The problems you are having are related to your WinXP 32 bit memory address restrictions I believe.

Since the beta, A-10 made a lot of improvements and many of those were in the graphics department. Because of those improvements, the memory restrictions of a 32 bit OS (like yours) could not handle the simulation without some compromises. So, the recommended system specs were increased to a 64 bit OS like Windows 7.

There are workarounds for those using a 32 bit OS, and you can find them in these links that I got from Nate--IRL's signature line

http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1084420&postcount=8

and

You can try those links out, but, I would suggest you consider updating your Operating System to Win 7 64 bit, and have at least 4 Gb of memory.

The "increaseuserva" was succesfull for me

(incendently I'm running a Win7 - not WinXP - OS)

Thanks a lot and happy new year

Happy New Year to you as well. Copy on your use of 32 bit Win7. If you purchased Win7 on a disk, then you most likely have the 64 bit version included on a separate disk. If so, I would advise you install the 64 bit version the next time you reinstall your OS.
