IvanK Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 In all versions of LOMAC/FC there is a tendency to get into Pilot induced oscillations (PIO) in pitch at high speed lo level. It seems as if damping is reduced or non existent in this phase of flight. I have tried all sorts of settings in the axis control area but never really cured it. It would be nice if this could be looked at. In addition Pitch trim should be finer and allow smaller more precise adjustment.
GGTharos Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 I thought aircraft were supposed to get a lot more pitch sensitive at those speeds. Too much I'm guessing? Not sure if it can be fixed in SFM though. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
HiJack Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 I tuned the X52 Pro PITCH TRIM in this quick guide, maby something to look in to for other joysticks as well: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=82773 Works great so far for FC2 and DCS A-10C ;) (HJ)

In addition even conventional (Non FBW) aircraft Q feel systems coupled with active dampers ensure smooth non PIO tendencies in the high speed regime.
