hassata Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 If he's still selling them, I recommend Deadman's (http://forums.eagle.ru/member.php?u=5645) covers. Keeps the dust out of the throttle innards, which are exposed. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Keeps the dust out of the throttle innards, which are exposed. Those are amazing covers, but sadly he's not selling them anymore. Even the website is gone now. Tornado_Pilot Posted December 30, 2011 Author Posted December 30, 2011 Mhh, too bad... Looks like we need to put some cardboard box over the whole unit to protect it from dust...

firestick22 Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) I've used TM products since the '90s and I must say the WH is well worth the steep price for A10C. So are the MFDs. Its all plug and play and work so great together. (The WH is about 1000 times better than my old cougar.) I use the paddle switch to center TrackIR. And I use the "friction" slider to zoom my view. tintifaxl Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Mhh, too bad... Looks like we need to put some cardboard box over the whole unit to protect it from dust... Get deadman's covers - they are absolutely recommendable. Windows 10 64bit, Intel i9-9900@5Ghz, 32 Gig RAM, MSI RTX 3080 TI, 2 TB SSD, 43" 2160p@1440p monitor.

And I use the "friction" slider to zoom my view. Agreed. And those are what I use too with the addition that I use Mic Tophat Up on the throttle to call up the Radio Comms Menus, friction on throttle to Zoom. Why with default they use the Joystick POV as views instead of trim, I don't know, so those are changed too. FieroCDSP Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 2. What do you have the other keys assigned to do - paddle switch etc. About the only changes I made were in replacing the forward and back on the throttle thumb-hat to be my zoom in and out, the hat button to be my stick-to-trim, and the pinky paddle for my FM radio (JTAC)
Felipão Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 I'd love to get one for me. My problem is I'm left-handed and this joystick is made for right-handed people. Am I right?
tintifaxl Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 I'd love to get one for me. My problem is I'm left-handed and this joystick is made for right-handed people. Am I right? Quite so. Windows 10 64bit, Intel i9-9900@5Ghz, 32 Gig RAM, MSI RTX 3080 TI, 2 TB SSD, 43" 2160p@1440p monitor.
Eddie Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 The stick is designed to be operated with the right and and the throttle with the left, just like the real A-10C controls. And just like every other fighter aircraft for that matter. A person being right handed/left handed is irrelevant.
112th_Rossi Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Quite so. I am left handed too. For sims like 1946 I use a standard joystick with held in my left hand, which has a reassinable throttle on its base which can be switched to the right hand side. (Saitek Cyborg stick). This makes it much easier for those kinds of sims. For A10C I use the X52, which is just a standard left to right layout and I have no problems.
foxfour Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Im left handed and like everything else in the world i have had to learn to be more right handed. right handed scissors, right handed golfing.. Just adapt. i fly with the trottle on my left and stick on myright
Ragtop Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 I'm a lefty too, albeit a weird one! I play right handed guitar, kick with my right foot, but eat with the fork in my left and write with my left! Buuut if you want to be an A-10 pilot, real or virtual, then you're going to have to adapt! Every fighter for that matter is laid out in a right handed system, so it's always going to be a compromise! 476th vFG Alumni
Felipão Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 You are right. If I ever buy TM Warhog HOTAS, I will have to adapt to play with my right hand. To tell you the truth, I'm not completely useless with my right hand. I don't know why but I use my right hand to work with the mouse. So it's not impossible to adapt.
