Hello Fellows,

after a long time of league of legends, I got finally back to DCS :pilotfly:

and I have some simple questions for you....

How can I turn my signal lights on? I thought I had to change the pinky switch, but I tried all 3 stance, but I dont get any light on...or which key was it again?

I've made a real panel for DCS Warthog, but I think I have a programming problem now :D....I have made two buttons for flares and chaffs, but I can't program it ingame that I can use these 2 buttons  or is it possible to drop flares and chaffs manually with a button?

Here's a screenshot of my panel

Cheers

Ensure the lighting panel (back en of the right panel) has the required configuration for your signal lights. (Pages 162 through 164.) Pinky aft selects lighting according to the panel. Pinky forward selects default lights.

Regarding countermeasures, you don't use a separate button for flare and another for chaff, you use the CMS (Counter Measure Switch) to handle the defensive systems. On the real thing (and on the TM HOTAS Warthog) this is the white thumb-hat on the stick. Forward initiates a program, backwards stops a program (if you want to stop it manually), left and right cycles between programs, and depressing it activates your self-protection jammer. Programs are edited through the CM panel, in front of your CDU. (Page 403.) For that reason, your panel is not appropriate for the A-10C.

Dropping chaff and flares is done by one button. CMS up.

This button tells the counter measure panel system to start the "program".

Depending on what program you have selected you will have a different sequence for deployment.

Another important thing is what setting did you put the counter measure knob at?

Manual is for each press of the CMS up you drop only one chaff and flare if you selected the right program, for SEMI, each time you press CMS up you go through only one cycle of the currently selected program, however the system will choose which program to use based on the threat, and AUTO is everything is hands off, the system automatically chooses program, and deploys and stop it by itself, be ready to lose all countermeasures in matter of seconds in this mode.

This is incorrect. In manual mode, the CMS will still run the entire program, or until you press "stop".

There isn't any "pop-one-flare-button", unless a "pop-one-flare-program" is selected....:)

I think T or something around there might be.

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

I would have the CM switch on the stick..

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

You've got abundant flares and chaff and each one you release during a missile launch increases your chances.

This is what auto mode looks like, after getting one single spike on RWR :)
