Hi Everyone,

I have been pulling my hair out trying to set up some decent snap views and despite following all of the helpful posts on here to the letter, I still end up messing something up each time:book:

Would a kind soul here who has managed it send me a copy of their SnapViews.lua file? I basically want a good L & R MFD, a good HUD zoom for staffing runs and a good close up CDU.

I can set new views using my track iR then saving using RAlt KP0 etc, but I simply can't get the angles I want accurately enough like this. When I disable my TiR and set the view using the keyboard, I always end up screwing my default views up and having to restore my backup. It's not fun anymore :-(

Thanks!

I haven't used snap view in a while. When I set mine up, I actually manually editted the lua file.

If you have views that are close to what you want, you can edit the individual parameters for that view to make small adjustments to angle or anything else.

Here is the modified section of an my old snapviews.lua (complete file attached). Hope this helps.

EDIT: It should not make a difference but this file was built on version 1.1.0.8 I think and I have not tested it in quite some time.

Snap views not saving for me

Hey Guys,

I've been reading these threads over and over trying to find the magic bullet.

I've changed my view.lua files to =false as directed.

In game I can change and save my snap views. They work as published for the rest of the mission.

Once I exit a mission or game the new snap views are not saved. They then revert to default.

I've even alt tabbed during a mission to check the current snap view file against my backup original file and they don't seem to change at all.

Any ideas? I want my snap view changes to be saved permanently, not just for that mission.
