hassata Posted January 27, 2012 Author Posted January 27, 2012 At the end of the day, it's MIT putting their name on a piece of paper that says you're competent. I could see some real self-starters or financially challenged people turning the tables. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
104th_Cobra Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 E-learning is nothing new. Free and with a MIT label, that is intagible. Good move from MIT! 104th Cobra [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Stickers Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 This is great news! I hope MIT doesn't suffer too much politically for this. I am sure the wealthy will spin this somehow and reduce the legitimacy of MIT. But this is ****in great for everyone in the world that is lucky enough to have Internet access and the will to learn what MIT provides.
leafer Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 Oh, crap, you still have to be ridiculously smart to begin with though. ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P
hassata Posted January 28, 2012 Author Posted January 28, 2012 Didn't think of that. That's me out lol. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
leafer Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 lol. I know, huh? The nerve...we should just stick to writing fantasy. :D Here's to your book!!! Cheers. ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P
primus_TR Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 In my opinion it will detract from MIT brand value. The more people have something (a certification stamped with an MIT seal), the less valuable it is. I'd hate it if I were an MIT grad :)
