Jerec Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 I´ve done a Eurofighter Typhoon cockpit based on the MiG-29G pit. It´s of course not perfect and I still need help for some things like making a realistic looking HUD holder or removing this little white circle with the cross within on the left side. I don´t know the name of this .tga texture.
aaron886 Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 I really don't understand the fascination with re-texturing the wrong cockpit, but at any rate... some of those needles aren't even textured (just white polygons in the CMD model) so they can't be removed AFAIK without black magic.
Ells228 Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 It's an ok attempt, but to be honest you missed a lot of buttons in certain areas. Beaker is right, you need to build your own cockpit to remove all of those little poly's.
rattler Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Hi ells: can you do the 3D cockpit and leave out the hud. Just use the default Hud and the rest of the cockpit will be textured. Crow and I did a couple of textures but I don't have 3dmax and the proper paint program to take it any further than what we did. cheers pete
Ells228 Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Hi Pete, Yep, that's where we are at at the moment. I have a fully working version with the default F-15 HUD and symbology, but no MFD's. I am currently working on integrating the MFD's into the model but having some scaling issues with the MFD and HUD alignment. Cheers, Chris.
