WildBillKelsoe Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 (edited) I'm sure you are aware that sometimes, when you send the wingman to recce, he reports some contacts, and the last contact he reports, you don't get on the datalink. Am I hallucinating or is it a true bug? Thanks. When can I expect the beta testing for P-51D? I would love to preorder her. EDIT: I also want to buy LOMAC as a digital download. Its not possible is it? Su-33.. Do they get catapult-assisted takeoff on the Kuz? At least in FC 2?? Jona33 Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Not sure about DL problem. Regarding LOMAC. ED can't offer it as a download as they don't own the rights to it. Ubisoft do. With the Su-33 you don't get catapult assistance because you don't in real life. That's how massive the engines are. P51 beta... Unknown. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

msalama Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 the last contact he reports, you don't get on the datalink And not always the last either. I've sometimes seen him not sending ANY data at all, only reading out the contacts over the radio! But the terrain seems to affect this as well, i.e. if you send him say over a steep hill and stay behind yourself, the DL RF carrier appears to drop out and the contacts then get lost. But that's just an assumption, since I haven't done any testing at all! But if so, then shouldn't the audio drop out as well? Puzzling... The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
WildBillKelsoe Posted February 15, 2012 Author Posted February 15, 2012 Just one question. When I land to the carrier, do I get the option to rearm, refuel and repair? and how do I move about from the landing strip to the takeoff ramp? Do i get a tow/pushback? You do get the options on a carrier. Moving from the angled deck to the ramp means you fold the wings in case someone else is on the deck, use the incredible turn rate of the Su-33 on the ground and go line up. (If the blast shields do stay up you just go straight through them.) I mentioned it earlier, if you want to fly the Su-33 get the Jetpack 2.0 mod. It includes a load of mods but most importantly a new Kuz model that looks wonderful with animated ground crew saluting at you as you take off and the Mig-29K. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
WildBillKelsoe Posted February 15, 2012 Author Posted February 15, 2012 Hey thanks.. I know there wont be buttons to click or anything... But, I aim to be a FULL supporter of ED, even though I highly hate Ubisoft (Shilent Kunter 5 fiasco..) But, if it means I get to act as a TopGun, well.. I'd be happy to.
