Am a bit lost with this and dont really understand how to best use the systems, especially jamming.

I kinda get the countermeasure section where you can set up your own programs for dispensing the chaff and/or flares and us the start and stop HOTAS buttons, but could use some help with how to use it effectively.

But I really need some help with the jamming and how to set it up and how it works.

So I would really appreciate it if somebody could explain how to effectively use flare and chaff programs against threats and explain how the jamming systems works. Whats a good setup for jamming and how to best employ it against threats. Are there certain functions for jamming I should definitley have on my HOTAS setup.

thanks

First of all, there have been quite a lot of threats about CMS with detailed explanations on both jamming and CMS use, try this for instance:

Also watch the video posted there, it is very good with tons of interesting information.

Basically, there are different approaches to CMS, as some people prefer semi-auto mode, others are playing on manual. I believe that for starters 'semi' is your best bet, as it chooses CMS programs for you as well as automatically uses the jammer. And practice, practice & once again practice - set some test missions and try to evade the threats (best with the "immortality" set to on, so that you don't have to reload the mission every time you get hit, and you will quite often in the beginning).

Hope that helps!

No worries, let us know about your progress. For me efficient use of CMS is one of the most difficult part of the A10C.
