Stratos Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 Is possible to fly a Mig-23 with the wings in "closed" position or full back?? You can fky it with the wings "opened" but cannot close anyway. So is possible to start the flight with the wings closed?? Thank's I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
Maverick-90 Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 negative, but in MP other clients see your plane with swept wings, liek an AI one...
355th_Paulie Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 A small note: the wings do sweep back, while ingame, and speeding up.... :icon_jook :D
Stratos Posted September 25, 2005 Author Posted September 25, 2005 lol but I cannot see it I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
britgliderpilot Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 Right, variable-geometry wings in Lomac . . . . Start with the basics: Each variable-geometry 3D model in Lomac has animated wings, that sweep backwards and forwards. Normally, these are controlled by the AI, depending on speed range. That's the only reason they move. NO flyable aircraft in Lomac has variable-geometry wings, so there is no way to hook the code into sweeping the wings in flight. It just isn't there, because it wasn't necessary. The Su33 has folding wings - that hook in the code, by chance, will coincide with sweeping the wings back on a 3D model that has moving wings. ONLY if you replace the Su33 model with another 3D model. However, the routine for that is different - with the wings folded, that aircraft simply cannot fly. The reason that clients in an MP game see your wings sweep is that they don't know your aircraft is being controlled by a human. It's simply a flying entity, and since the game identifies it as a variable geometry aircraft, the 3D model wings sweep automatically. I emphasise that whether the 3D wings are swept or not has zero influence on the flight model, mostly due to the hugely simplified AI FM. It's like putting a 3D model with a hook or refuelling probe on top of a player flight model that doesn't have a hook or refuelling probe. If you press the button, the game will simply ignore it - because the code for that aircraft simply does not allow for that. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
Stratos Posted September 25, 2005 Author Posted September 25, 2005 Thank's for the info Britglider, you know a lot about Lomac I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
