foxfour Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 i have been using a couple of the guides posted on here to do the start up procedure. I might be doing something wrong but when i startup i dont see the TVV (total velocity vector) in the HUD. all i see is a cross. When i try to take off, the plane feels like its pulling to the right. i was thinking that maybe im messing up the take off trim settings. Any ideas for these two problems?

ralfidude Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Wind will push you, always. As long as you have no green indicators on your warning control panel, then everything is done right. All you need to do is watch a start up video on line, look at what you are doing, and if it's the same thing, then you are good to go. The only time I rmbr when I did not have that TVV, is when I forgot to turn EGI and/or EAC on. But you would notice that the warning control panel will display it. PeterP Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Redo in DCS what you describe in post#1 and please just post at *.trk file(when you exit a mission there is a check-box that ask "Save Track") - and load it up. - please tell also what exact version of DCS you are using. Than sure someone will tell you exactly what went wrong and/or is a limitation of the systems of the A-10c.
Fish Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 (edited) FPM comes on AFTER ins alignment is complete (you hit the Nav option on the CDU page, when the INS ALIGN is flashing), and then activate the EGI switch on the nav panel. But you probably know that already .:smilewink: Edited February 23, 2012 by Fish Fish's Flight Sim Videos [sIGPIC]I13700k, RTX4090, 64gb ram @ 3600, superUltraWide 5120x1440, 2560x1440, 1920x1080, Warthog, Tusba TQS, Reverb VR1000, Pico 4, Wifi6 router, 360/36 internet[/sIGPIC]
Lane Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 (edited) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=73178&highlight=Derelor be sure to engage the IFCC to "switch", engage Preflight bit test on UFC ( let the test run ).... and after the CDU have fully aligned the Nav ( Ins Nav ready, showing 4.0.08 ) then you can enable EAC and switch HARS to EGI ). ( on my memory i was wait the Ins Nav is completely aligned before engage IFCC too, but as i do the startup by memory, lol not sure it is needed ) Edited February 22, 2012 by Lane - I7 2600K @5.2ghz ( EK full Nickel waterblock ) - Gigabyte P67A-UD7 B3 - 8GB Predator 2133mhz - 2x HD7970 - EK Nickel EN H2o block - 2x Crucial realSSD C300 Raid0 - Black Widow Ultimate - X52 -TrackIR 5 - XIfi Titanium HD - Win 7 x64Pro
