Ok Viper There you go,now to start I have been using R alt-home for left, and R-alt-home,also used the left right cockpit dash buttons for engine start nothing this time the right engine did not start either.I did noticew that the esc key was not working or out side views f2 infact none of the f keys were working ,

You are not switching your engines on, ie moving the throttle levers from the Off position, over the detent, to the Idle position - see the following screenshots to illustrate:

Engines Off:

Left Engine On:

Right Engine On:

Spooled:

Re-map your engine start commands to a single keypress, ie Uparrow and Downarrow and see if that helps.

The throttles won't kick over the hump if the game thinks that the throttle is physically pushed forward. If you have (for example), the left throttle already over the hump and all the way forward, trying to start it with RALT+HOME won't move the throttle.

I'd double-check your bindings. Delete *everything* bound to the left throttle, including manual keyboard adjustments. As suggested, rebind the start to a single buttonpress just for testing. With nothing bound to the left throttle at all, there shouldn't be any reason the game would think it's moving. That's the only reason I can think of as to why neither the key combo nor the autostart would let the left throttle fingerlift.

At this point, assuming you have already ensured no other axis are conflicting with it, the only thing I can think of is that your TM Warthog throttle quad is actually broken. The left throttle slider could be shorted or something, always thinking it's all the way forward. WITH the throttle properly bound, you can check this by pressing RCTRL+ENTER in the cockpit, which will bring up the axis repeater... move the throttles around and see what's happening to the sliders.

For a better debugging what may causing this:

Unplug every controller -use only mouse and keybord - and also disable every possible script programming software that runs maybe in the background.

Than do a startup again - to check if everything works.

If yes - some controller is causing a conflict . And you will have to search for it.

If not- some of your keyboard bindings are not working and you have to reset this. - a new install will do the job.

I must read properly next time :music_whistling:

Ignore my remap comment - I did not realise you have a Warthog. Make sure you start the mission with your throttles at off, alternatively untick the HOTAS synchro option. Also remap axis as Frostiken suggested.

engine start

Ok Guys thanks for all the advice did all of what you said ,and still had problems with the left engine. So it occured to me to use the original version from disc instead of 1.1.1.1 so I place the disc in the drive and all worked perfectly, now given the advice I received from a freind who flys this sim with version 1.1.1.1 you dont need the disc but obviuosly thats not the3 case .Was he wrong in his advice and do you thin this was the problem see enclosed track. But once agian thanks guys there is are a lot of wise heads here, and Iam greatful for all your help all of you

engine start with disc in using 1.1.1.1.trk

Posted

You certainly shouldn't need the disc in. I don't think that would have any bearing on it at all.

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

Great that you got it working mate but the disk doesn't do anything. I don't even have a disk :P

What you did in that last track was correct, something has to have changed since your other tries

hello Depth

Well yes something changed, but what I have no idea.I did take on all the advice that was given to me from the guys,

disconnecting the controllers to rebinding keys but nothing seemed to work for me.I then decided to insert the disc and see what happened I noticed a command box start just before the game initiated then I went in and the results are to be seen on the track all was fine.I then removed the disc ,and used only the full installe of 1.1.1.1 ,and again all was fine .So Depth you are right during one of the prosesses something changed but Iam still scratching my head as to what, its a funny old world
