I want to start this thread by saying THANK YOU to everyone here on the forum who share infomation, construction techniques, and designs for panels and cockpit.

Too many names to write but you know who you are, thanks for a great job!

What I have done now so far is AUX and Fuel panel.

The material that I have chosen to use is 2mm clear plexi for the backplate, 3mm opal-white

plexi for lightpanel, 5mm opal-white plexi painted with black color then laser engraved.

Still need to paint the backplate "edges"

Well its a start :)

Looks good Linden!!

Glad to see that your cnc went good.

Only thing is that I think the bat handle on switches is a bit to low....

You use 5mm on top and that makes them low.....

Ahh. I see your not having the lightning in the panel itself, but behind the switch plate shinning through it? Where are you going to place your electronics / wiring to prevent shadows?

Yes i will have light that will be one lamp from behind the backplate.

As for the wiring i dont think that will be a problem, but i havent tested whit wiring, so

i dont know if there will be a problem.

If so i need to get a el sheet or just put some leds in the backplate.

Yes im very pleased with the panels.

The switches are 3mm lower then the ones that has round holes, no big deal.

I can always drill from the backside 3mm down, but no need for that.

Thanks to you I now got a laser-cut Fuel panel in my possession :D

What a difference it does to have a professional panel and not a homemade crap like mine

So many hours I spend doing them when I could got them made....

In the end it will have cost me the same

I'm glad you liked it! :)

By the way, I have now fixed the holes in the fuel panel:)

I used the mill at work so now the oval holes is milled 3mm

down from the backside...

Looks really good now!!

awesome! sorry about the loose fitting parts, I have not posted the plans yet for plywood that is slightly thinner than .75". Some steel corner brackets would help firm everything up though, if you choose.

Sad story:

I did remake your drawing to fit 18mm, every cutout and part was remade.

Then i send it off the and waited.....

When i got the parts i was not to happy whit the result, so i whent back to the mail

that i have sent , and ther its was.....

THE ORIGNAL DRAWING!!!!

I have send the wrong drawing:mad:

But i will use this left side, because the material and laser is very expensive....

I will use some steel corner brackets to firm it up better...

Next time im gonna try to remember to use the right drawings:)
