Slayer Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 DCS: Apache, F-16C and Mi-24? All dead now or is the F-16C the next "US fixed wing aircraft" ? http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=503375&postcount=343 Wags had said that "Work was continuing on these other modules" now 4 years of silence on those. I seem to recall that the Apache was dropped due to not getting a contract or something correct me if I'm wrong) but what of the other 2? The pits looked pretty amazing. joey45 Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Planes change. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. EtherealN Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 I seem to recall that the Apache was dropped due to not getting a contract or something correct me if I'm wrong) Contracts are not necessary to make a DCS product. Information is what is necessary, contracts just makes that information easier to get (assuming the client agrees). Demongornot Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 But without contract did we don't take the risk to have problems with the real aircraft constructor and the country who use it ? Just a simple question... And for the next aircraft F-16 can be nice, but i prefer the F-15E Strike Eagle and better than him the F/A-18C/D/E/F Hornet/Super Hornet, but i hope that not will be a simple F-15C or D Eagle with ONLY air to air mission... I wonder see the Apache, but the Mi24 can be nice too, and why not a AH-1, but for 3 of this aircraft ED must master dual seat cockpit with player + bot, Player alone and Player + Player. But what about EC665 Tigre ? or Mirage 2000, or JAS39 Gripen ? and other but not always US and Russian aircraft... Just a simple question... I don't see why that would cause a problem.
